Year of Prayer

This Week’s Prayer Focus: Children of Fallen Service Members

Heavenly Father,

We lift up the children of our fallen heroes to You this week. In the quiet spaces where a parent's voice should be, we ask that You pour out Your overwhelming peace and comfort. Be a constant, reassuring presence in their lives, holding them closely when grief feels too heavy to bear. Lord, protect their hearts from bitterness, anger, or despair. When the unfairness of their loss feels overwhelming, guard their minds with Your grace. Replace resentment with healing, and keep their hearts soft, resilient, and filled with hope for the future. Grant them the strength to navigate each day, and surround them with a community of love, support, and understanding. May they grow up knowing how deeply they are loved, and may they carry the legacy of their parent's sacrifice with quiet pride and courage. Wrap them in Your protection, guide their steps, and bring deep healing to their souls.

AMEN.

We have been in the Wasilla area since before 1926 and officially part of the Presbytery for 80 years. Our church started as an “out station”, served by Nenana missionaries who traveled by railroad. While much has changed in our church’s life, our commitment to worship, fellowship, and service endures.
