Year of Prayer

This Week’s Prayer Focus: US Veterans Suffering from PTSD

Gracious and loving God,

we lift before You the men and women who have served our nation and now carry the invisible wounds of war. We pray for our veterans who live with PTSD

—the memories they cannot forget, the battles they continue to fight, and the burdens they carry in silence.

Lord, bring peace to minds that remain on alert. Calm the storms of fear, anxiety, and painful memories. For those who carry guilt or shame, bring

healing, forgiveness, and the understanding that their lives are precious and valued. Restore their sense of belonging and help them know that their service

and sacrifices matter. For those who feel isolated, remind them that they are not forgotten and they are loved.

God of mercy, guide the hands of those searching for better treatments and deeper understanding of PTSD. Strengthen the organizations and individuals

dedicated to protecting the lives and well-being of our veterans. May every veteran know they are surrounded by Your love, held in Your grace,

and never alone. Bring healing to their hearts, peace to their minds, and renewed hope for tomorrow.

Amen.

We have been in the Wasilla area since before 1926 and officially part of the Presbytery for 80 years. Our church started as an “out station”, served by Nenana missionaries who traveled by railroad. While much has changed in our church’s life, our commitment to worship, fellowship, and service endures.
