This Week’s Prayer Focus: Military Chaplains
Gracious and Loving God,
We lift before You the men and women who serve as military chaplains around the world. We give thanks for their calling to bring Your presence into places of uncertainty, sacrifice, hardship, and service. Through their ministry, they offer comfort to those who are far from home, guidance to those facing difficult decisions, and hope to those carrying heavy burdens.
Lord, strengthen these faithful servants as they walk alongside military members and their families. Grant them wisdom as they provide counsel, courage as they serve in challenging environments, and compassion as they listen to stories of sacrifice, fear, grief, and perseverance. May they be a steady reminder of Your love and grace to all those entrusted to their care.
Protect military chaplains as they serve in times of peace and conflict. Surround them with Your peace when they enter places of danger, and sustain them when the weight of others’ struggles becomes heavy. Give them moments of rest and renewal, and remind them that they, too, are held in Your loving care.
Bless their families, who share in the sacrifices of this calling. Provide them with strength, encouragement, and a deep sense of Your presence during seasons of separation and uncertainty.
We pray that military chaplains would have opportunities to share Your hope, extend Your mercy, and reflect the light of Christ wherever they are called to serve. May their words bring comfort, their actions bring healing, and their presence remind others that they are never alone.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Shepherd and our source of peace, we pray. Amen.
